President Bush rips himself a new one.
Bush tears himself a new one from 3 years in the past. Hilarious clip, I’ll let the video speak for itself.

A Report From A Long Long Time Ago
So I dug this old tape out of the archives at home and quickly backed it up to DVD and onto my laptop. It’s from a trip 7 years ago when I went to the GOP convention in Philadelphia before the 2000 election. For those of you who know me, it will be the first and only time you’ve seen me speak on behalf or in favor of anything to do with the Republican Party. Anyway I thought it was be hilarious if everyone was able to see it so I made it public on YouTube.
Hey, you can’t say I never contributed to the Internet community!

Super Smash Bros. Compilation
So when I first got my MacBook Pro I was eager to try out all the iLife programs, so 9 months ago I decided to make a music video/compilation for Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I made the following video in about a few hours my first time using iMovie. I have since then lost the original video (when I dropped my MacBook), and am left with only the poor quality youtube video I uploaded after finishing. Anyway I hope you guys enjoy it:

Basic NES ROM Editing
So a few months ago we had to do a presentation for my System’s Architecture class. The presentation could be anything about anything relating to computer hardware/software that wasn’t directly covered in class (it could be a more in depth analysis of a course topic as well). Anyway I always wanted to know how people edited NES ROMs, so I did some research and compiled a bunch of information. I learned a ton of stuff and had a lot of fun doing it. Anyway I’ve decided to share the information, as I’ve included my presentation and related materials here:
ROM editing presentation materials
One especially interesting thing we talked about in class (which I didn’t think about originally), was how game genie and the now called “action replay” and “game shark”. Some of the binary data for ROM you see in the Hex Editor, must be overridden by the action replay. You might think that is sort obvious, but what you might have not realized is that those “game genie” codes you put in are actually the binary corresponding to the code you are overriding. So when you put in your master code for something, part of that code tells the game genie were to override the binary, and the other part is the actual Hex/Binary for the item or event you want to occur. So for all those who wondered where people come up with the codes, get a ROM and trace down the item you want, and you can discover your own codes (that’s not covered in my presentation, but the internet is a big place). Anyway, I hope somebody can learn a little something from this, I know I did.
